While we're on the subject of movies...

Thanks to my neice, Dev, for reminding me to pay homage to
Abe Froman, the Sausage King of Chicago!

My mostest favorite funny movie EV-HUR (it won the Academy Award for Best Movie Ever Made) is Ferris Bueller's Day Off (well, it's totally tied with Fletch).
I can always conjure up a quote from the Ferris Bueller bible when I'm faced with ANY situation.
List your favorite(s).
Of course there are many, but here's a couple of mine, just to get you in the mood:
Ed Rooney: "Tell you what dipshit, if you don't like my policies, you can come down here and smooch my big ol' white butt. Pucker up, buttercup."

Grace: "Oh, he's very popular Ed. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, waistoids, dweebies, d*ckheads - they all adore him. They think he's a righteous dude."

Ben Stein: "Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
Simone: "Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious."
Ben Stein: "Thank you, Simone"
Simone: "No problem whatsoever."

Pirates 3 ROCKS!

You've gotta see it!
We went last night and it totally rocks!
FYI...be sure to sit through the credits to see the
Easter Egg at the end...you won't be disappointed!
*swoon* Will Turner is quite the babe pirate in this one!
Don't worry, you're still my first love, Captain Jack!

"Meghanisms"

Meggie is tooo smart. She's always challenging us with "exacts"
and heart melting questions, etc. Here's some recents...

"Who spilled sugar all over my clean floor?!!!"
Meghan: "Mom, it's not just YOUR floor."

"Mom, will you always hold me when I cry? Even when I'm a grown up?"

"Mom, will you always be mine?"

"Daddy, are you happy at me?"
Sigh...hopefully they won't end any time soon.

Today was picture day at Meggie's dance class with Miss Lori. Her first recital is next week. Notice there is one little guy with all these felines. They are all so cute!

"Look Mommy, just 2 wheels!"

It's official, our littlest is no longer a baby! As she says..."I'm big now, like my sister."
We were going to get her a bike with training wheels for her birthday in October, but she apparently had a different agenda. This afternoon she finagled Olivia outside to help "learn" her how to ride the big bikes. She found Max's old 14" bike buried in the garage, pulled it out and decided to "ride" it. Not too much longer, with mom and dad's help, she was peddling. No training wheels. No crashes. No scrapes. Just big smiles.

Beach Bums...

Woohoo! It's almost time for our annual camping trip to San Elijo State Beach at Cardiff By The Sea!!!! This time Jon is choosing to go instead of vacationing at Desert Springs! Here's some pics from last June to get you jealous and wish YOU were going with...

This is the only picture with ALL of us in it...
Meg is in the foreground, Ian next, Max &
Olivia out in the water, and of course, my foot.

Here's a little eye candy for Jessie and Melaroo...

I've neglected my boy and now it's time to kiss and make up.
Since this is my blog, I feel it's my duty to post some Johnny...

Can I say that, mommy?

Yesterday I'm at school picking up Meggie, talking to one of my friends about an all-day crop and she hears us, so she comes over and whispers the following:

"Mom, I can't say that word, can I? It's a bad word for kids, but you can say it."

Reply..."What word, honey? Mommy didn't use a bad word."

"Crop, mom. Crop. It's a bad word."
