Meghan lost her first tooth AND got her ears pierced!

This girl is growing up wayyy to fast for me! She's the last of our "babies" and it's getting harder for me to deal with! She's turned in to a little girl over night. The last couple of months have been filled with learning to swim under water in the deep end, riding a bike with no training wheels, losing her first tooth, then the second one a couple days later, and NOW getting her ears pierced (she didn't even flinch). ACK! June has been a busy month! Thank God it's over!
My Tooth
My tooth fell out and left a space
So big my tongue can touch my face,
And every time I smile I show
The place where something used to grow.
I miss my tooth as you can guess,
But now I have to brush one less!

I'm a pirate!

Ooo, this is cool. The real pirate they're referring to, Calico Jack Rackham,
is our relative. Click on the link and find YOUR pirate name.

My pirate name is:
Black Jenny Rackham

Like anyone confronted with the harshness of robbery on the high seas, you can be pessimistic at times. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!

The song has already been sung!

Cast yer vote for the Pirate King...
I saw this flag in the camp store at the beach and the pirate blood in me told me I HAD to get it. The only thing cooler would have been if it were the crossed swords like Jack Rackham's colours! We flew it each day on our easy-up...so cool! People didn't mess with us, Arrrrrrrrr!
Hoist The Colours
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

The king and his men stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her Bones.
The seas be ours and by the powers
where we will well roam.

Yo, ho, haul together
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never say we die.

Some men have died and some are alive
and others sail on the sea–
with the keys to the cage...and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler's Green!

The bell has been raised from it's watery grave...
Do you hear it's sepulchral tone
We are a call to all, pay head to the squall
and turn your sail toward home!

Yo, ho, haul together
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars

K...if you haven't camped at the beach, I TOTALLY recommend it. It's one of the BEST vacations ever! ('specially when great friends come along!) We're basically chill from sun up to sun set (except when we HAVE to make a run to Target or BEVMO!). The kids make "sand cities" for hours, surf, tube, dig, look for shells, or just chase each other up and down the beach .
So cool, and talk about relaxing.
It ROCKED!
Jon made it this year...woohoo!
Meg "turfing" as she calls it ... Max & his buddy, Taylor
Coppertone girl with and without marshmallow

Ian & Olivia sand fighting
Seaport Village on the way home
HAD to get a picture of someone with this giant chicken!
