Is a toilet made out of snow a sign of genius?

Playing in the snow is sooo fun. My kids LOVE to go up to Lee Canyon and play in the meadow and I love to just sit and watch them run around! We try to head up there every weekend that it snows cuz it's so much fun! Yesterday was great. It was lightly raining on the way up the mountain until we hit the "snow zone", then it was snowing the rest of the way...just like last week! Yay, there was lots of powder to play in. We like to go later in the day so most of the crowd is gone and that was definitely the case this time with hardly anyone there. This time it was just me, Meghan, Ian, and his friend Saji.

Meghan is home sick again today with fever and nose crap. I can't STAND nose crap, so I am constantly having her blow her nose. A few minutes ago I helped her blow and wipe and she screeched "OW! MOM! My nose is very, very hurtful right now!"

Random thoughts about Olivia...

Can I just say that it's hilarious to me how much my Olivia is like THE Olivia?
Now that the cartoon is on Nick Jr. in the mornings, It's got me thinking about my Olivia as a little girl. I get to watch it with the babies AND Olivia, since she's home schooled, and Olivia the pig IS my little Livy the pig, messes and all! When she was 6 and 3/4ths like the pig, she played just like her...had a vidid imagination, made up stories, pretended to be everything under the sun, went on grand adventures, played dress up, got in to my jewelry and makeup, played tricks on her little brother Max The Wild Thing, and buggrd her big brother Ian even though they were best friends at the time. Oh, and she was (and still is) loud like the pig, too. We used to call her our little foghorn. I came across a book one day that best described her...Loud Emily...about a baby that was born with a loud voice and it just got louder and louder. That is Olivia. It's also one of our favorite books. The fact that her little "bother's" name is Ian is even funnier. The only thing that would make it perfect is if Ian was her OLDER brother in the book, like he is in real life at our house.

Once again I am great!

My brother's daughter, Devony and her husband, Aaron...who adopted their first baby girl, Sydney, just over a year ago...delivered a healthy 9-pound baby girl last night! Isn't that how it always happens? You adopt after trying for years, THEN you get pregnant. They are so blessed!

I'm a GREAT AUNT for the 5th time! WOOHOO!

It's here...Anniversary #19! The bronze one.

To all those that doubted, INCLUDING US, Jon and Jenene have made it through 4 kids and another year of marriage!

It's been a crazy ride and there's much more to come!

5 days until our 19th wedding anniversary, which also falls on inauguration day. I wonder what he'll get me! The anniversary gift table stops at 15 and starts again at 20, but the unofficial gift for 19 is bronze. BRONZE. Grrr. I guess there are a lot of cool bronzey kind of things out there, so I shouldn't complain. If you count how long we've actually been together, I would also qualify for pictures. Hmmm. Pictures. 26 yrs. isn't officially on the table, either. Looking forward to next year. It's CRYSTAL!
